Marrakech

Rich in Culture and Fun

Marrakech stands at the foothills of the Atlas mountains, providing a wonderful backdrop to the city. Old blends perfectly with a modern day setting, where ancient customs are still respected. The people are welcoming and will often offer a glass of mint tea as a token of friendship.

Head for the bustling central square, Djeema el Fna, where milling crowds mingle with fire eaters, snake charmers and shopkeepers, creating an overwhelming spectacle.  Haggle over carpets, spices and jewellery before heading to a rooftop restaurant from which to observe the scene. In contrast, seek out the tranquillity of the splendid monuments to the dynasties that once ruled Morocco. You will find mosques, tombs, traditional architecture and historic remnants in the southern part of the Medina.

Imagine the forgotten splendour of 16th century Palais el Badia situated in Rue Berrima as you walk between the remaining stone walls, then head to La Mamounia Hotel, heralding Morocco's golden age of opulence, to enjoy an iced drink in its splendid gardens.

dnata Holidays will assist you with your travel arrangements to Morocco.
