Agadir
Sea, Sand and Moroccan Sunsets
Agadir's built up city is blessed with a wonderful beach and is surrounded by natural parks and the striking Sahara. The city has been mostly developed over recent years and the view from the hill overlooking the city is quite spectacular.
Atop this hill is where the remnants of the original fortress can still be found. Take a day trip out of the city to the old walled city of Taroudannt, Paradise valley and the Massa Lagoon. Haggle your way through the bustling market stalls at Agadir's walled 'Souk' and come away with affordable souvenirs and traditional Moroccan handicrafts. Catch the fisherman coming into the Fishing Port at dusk with the fresh seafood of the day. Head down to the golf course for a round or take the kids to the zoo, Vallee des Oiseaux, with its wonderful walk-in aviary.
Taste great seafood or traditional Moroccan cuisine at the many restaurants scattered along the seafront or head into town around the Uniprix for a different ambience.
